Death by chocolate...

I made these for my husband's birthday recently. Dark chocolate mudcake topped with chocolate ganache. My husband, the accomplished cupcake taster that he is, said that these were the best that I've made so far. Well, gotta be happy with that!

Note: since i haven't posted for a while...GO REDS!! GO REDS!! GO REDS!! Woo hoo! Another Champions' League final. Not bad for a "small" club like Liverpool eh? Tennis? Hope Fedex does well in Rome.

I made this moist choc cake for my friend's birthday. Cake was covered with choc ganache. The daisies and drop flowers were made with buttercream.

Note: Last week hasn't been the best for me ( in sports...) Fedex lost to Nadal (boo hoo hoo!) and Liverpool lost to Chelsea. Hopefully this would be a better week. Go Reds!!

My favourite...

My favourite chocolate treats to bake are brownies. Just love to make them. Anything that doesn't require me to get out the mixer gets my vote!! These were made during Valentine's Day. They're moist chocolate walnut brownies. A word of caution.....these are for chocoholics only. And if you dare...I make them with chocolate ganache as well. ***Chocolate overload!!** The ones pictured were topped with buttercream.

Note: Fedex crushed Ferrer 6-4, 6-0 to reach the semis. Woohoo!! Next up is JC Ferrero.

Some previous attempts...

This was my first ever attempt at decorating a cake. Went for a one-day class at one of the baking supply shops in KL. Tiring but loads of fun.

I made these for the little kiddies during my cousin's wedding recently. Still trying to get the hang of piping. The sunflower didn't turn out as good as the last time.

On an unrelated note.....Roger Federer is into the quarter-finals of the Monte Carlo Masters. Yay!! Go Rogi!! Hmmm...maybe I should make some Federer cupcakes. Well, if he wins the French Open I'll definitely make some! (Can you tell that I'm tennis-mad?)

Bloomin' marvellous...

These babies were made with moist chocolate cake topped with vanilla buttercream and decorated with royal icing flowers. Spring is definitely in the air!!

Pretty in pastels?

These are devil's food cupcakes with buttercream topping. Made them during the Chinese New Year hols. I'm afraid the photos aren't good. Need to learn how to take better shots.
